Submission Preparation Checklist

• The manuscript makes a direct, explicit, and substantial contribution to the IJN Aim & Scope, with nutrology, nutrition, metabolism, dietary care, or nutrition-related human health as a central element of the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
• The submission is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration by another journal. Any related manuscript, prior dissemination, preprint, or potential overlap has been disclosed in Comments to the Editor.
• The manuscript has been submitted in an editable Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF format. The text is double-spaced, uses 12-point Arial font and 2 cm margins. Figures are submitted as separate files in the formats specified in the Instructions to Authors.
• The anonymous manuscript contains no author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, institutional identifiers, self-identifying statements, or file metadata that could reveal the authors. A separate title page containing complete author information has been submitted.
• The manuscript complies with the IJN Instructions to Authors, including article structure, word limits and Vancouver reference style. References are numbered in order of appearance, and DOI or functioning URLs have been provided whenever available.
• For research involving human participants, human biological material, identifiable information, or health data, the manuscript states the full name of the approving ethics committee, approval or protocol number, and approval date. When approval was waived or not required, the responsible body and justification are reported.
• For studies involving children, adolescents, adults who lack decision-making capacity, or other vulnerable participants, the manuscript reports the scientific justification, additional safeguards, permission from a parent or legally authorized representative, and participant assent whenever applicable.
• When a participant may be identifiable in text, photographs, video, audio, imaging, genomic information, or other data, separate written consent for publication has been obtained and is reported in the manuscript. Nonessential identifying information has been removed.
• For research involving animals, the manuscript states the approving authority, protocol number and approval date. In vivo animal studies comply with the ARRIVE Guidelines 2.0, and the completed ARRIVE checklist has been submitted as supplemental material: https://arriveguidelines.org/resources/author-checklists
• Clinical trials and other studies requiring registration include the registry name, registration number and registration date. The manuscript follows the reporting guideline applicable to its design, and the completed checklist or flow diagram has been submitted when required.
• Each author has completed the current ICMJE Disclosure Form, and the manuscript contains separate Funding and Conflicts of Interest statements, including declarations when no funding or competing interests exist: https://www.icmje.org/disclosure-of-interest/
• The manuscript contains Author Contributions based on the CRediT taxonomy and a Data Availability statement. When data cannot be shared, the manuscript explains the ethical, legal, contractual, or privacy restriction.
• For research involving human participants, the manuscript states whether informed consent was obtained or formally waived by the responsible ethics committee. The form of consent and the person providing consent or legal authorization are identified when applicable.
